About Midwest Business Exchange
Midwest Business Exchange (MBE) is an association of businesses and professional organization members who have joined together to barter their goods and services among themselves. This is done through an organized system which is regulated by the recordkeeping and administrative services of MBE. The Exchange functions as a clearinghouse for the barter transactions of its members.
Incorporated in 1980 by Jerry Howell, MBE is a great way for members to market their goods and services to an existing network of customers. Serving over 900 members, the Exchange includes restaurants, contractors, healthcare providers and practitioners, retail stores, salons, massage therapists, and more. An effective way to keep the economy local and support small businesses, MBE allows you to draw new customers from our established network of members.
